WELCOME TO THE 2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR!Image of District Administrator Dr. R Scott Pierce

Dear Families:

We welcome our students to the start of a new school year at the Central High School District of Westosha. I would like to extend a special welcome to our new families who may be joining us for the first day of high school for your teenage child. We are so glad to have you! Our outstanding teachers and staff will support you every step of the way.

The start of every school year takes a team effort from our teachers and all of the administrative and support staff. I want to thank our custodial staff who did an excellent job to get our school in great condition to welcome back students and staff. To our administrators and educational support staff – from ordering instructional materials, to scheduling, to registering new and returning students – a successful start would not be possible without their dedication.

This summer we had one of the largest number of students participating in our summer school offerings. A number of our teachers and the high school administrators were here to support our students in their summer learning opportunities. We are grateful for these staff members who go the extra mile to provide these summer school programs.

The Central High School District recognizes that every student we serve is unique. As educators, we recognize the great potential of every student. It is our responsibility to help every student reach their full potential. The Central High School District is very fortunate to have a dedicated, hard-working group of professionals who are committed to making your teenage child’s high school experience one to remember.

With the opening of school, we see promise, opportunities, and challenges. We must be willing and ready to embrace them all, together. This year, once again, our team is committed to making significant progress on achieving the mission of our strategic plan that states in part, “…to ensure all students acquire the knowledge, skills and character to thrive as contributing members of a global society through a quality caring staff, a challenging relevant curriculum and diverse opportunities to achieve personal success.”

Again, welcome! We look forward to an exciting year ahead with you as members of our school community.

With Kind Regards,

Dr. R. Scott Pierce

District Administrator
