Employability Skills provide students with the opportunity to develop skills needed to obtain and maintain employment. Course content includes understanding of self and others, communicating with others, experiencing career satisfaction, and dealing with change. Computer software and Internet tools are used to assist students in career decision-making, along with interest inventories and aptitude tests. Students will create employment portfolios which include: resume, letter of application, job leads, post-interview letter, application forms, resignation letter, career plans, and a letter of recommendation. Students will also be part of a mock interview with a human resource professional.
