Meet Drew Eckhart, a 2023 WCHS graduate currently attending the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. He is our next Alumni Spotlight for #CTEMonth! During his time at Westosha Central, he was active in student organizations, athletics, and took a variety of courses in our Technology & Engineering Department.

Advice to current students:
As a current college student, my biggest advice to high schoolers is to explore as much as possible. Take different classes, join new clubs, and try hobbies that push you outside your comfort zone. High school is one of the best times to experiment and discover what genuinely interests you, without the pressure of having everything figured out. The more you explore now, the more confident and self-aware you’ll be when it’s time to choose your path.

Meet Gina Grenyo, a 2022 WCHS graduate currently attending the University of Houston. She is our next Alumni Spotlight for #CTEMonth! During her time at Westosha Central, she was active in student organizations and took a variety of courses in our Business & Marketing Department.

Advice to current students:
Get involved and say “yes” to every opportunity, even if it is a challenge. Also, do the right thing always. Taking shortcuts on assignments, projects, and jobs will only make it harder to learn and succeed later. Good luck!

We're also recognizing some of our business partners during #CTEMonth! Our first spotlight is Community State Bank! CSB supports our students through our My Life event, which takes place twice a year as a part of our Personal Finance class!

Neil Buchanan, SVP – Business Banking & Cash Management, encourages students to ask questions, try new things, and learn from mistakes! Those experiences are where the real growth happens. Take advantage of opportunities that let you explore different career paths and build real-world skills early. And remember, success doesn’t follow just one path. Stay curious, be open to learning, and make choices that set you up for long-term stability and fulfillment. #weAREwestosha

Advice to current students:
I would tell current high school students to explore their options and find what motivates them. Whether that be a 4 year degree, attending a tech school, joining the trades, or finding a great company like Uline that you can grow with.

During her time at Westosha Central, she was active in student organizations, athletics, and took a variety of courses in our Business & Marketing Department.

Advice to current students:
My advice to current WCHS students would be to seek out opportunities that have the potential to prepare you for your future, and also maintain positive relationships with your teachers - they are there to help you and truly want to see you succeed. Remember to also believe in yourself and pursue what your passion is - it is important to know that there is no one "right" path to success."
