Peer Helpers is a student organization designed to promote a healthy lifestyle by staying drug and alcohol free. Students also take on mentor roles for elementary-aged students or transfer students. They support students in their transition into high school and provide valuable information regarding drug and alcohol use, mental health, and positive school culture.

AP Environmental Science students recently completed a soil properties lab. Students did two labs, one where they had soil sit in soap for a few days to settle, and then they calculated the percentages of each layer to determine the soil type of the sample. The other was a texture test. #weAREwestosha

We are proud to announce that 820 students received FREE college credit from Gateway Technical College in the 2024-25 school year through the Transcripted Credit program. The total cost savings for our students was $397,385.77, an increase of $36,885.20 from the previous year. Congratulations to the WCHS Transcripted Credit teachers; this program is only possible due to our highly qualified and dedicated teaching staff!

On Tuesday, October 14, we hosted an AVID Showcase for our feeder schools! During the showcase, our current AVID students and staff members explained the purpose of the program, showed examples of their notes and organization systems, demonstrated a tutorial, and hosted a Q&A session. #weAREwestosha






On 10/10, Raise Your Voice club recognized World Mental Health Day! Students and staff wore green to show their support, and some even made mental health awareness bracelets. #weAREwestosha
